Incident Summary:

11/13/2013: Assailants, including two would-be suicide bombers, opened fire on police in the Maripur area of Karachi city, Sindh province, Pakistan. Six perpetrators were killed and three officers suffered minor injuries in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities stated that the assailants were members of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi who were on their way to carry out an attack when they were stopped by police.
