Incident Summary:

11/18/2013: Gunmen abducted Jesus Cabelin in his home in Patikul municipality, Sulu province, Philippines. Cabelin, a provincial treasurer, was released on December 25th, 2013. No group claimed responsibility for the kidnapping; however, authorities attributed the attack to the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
