12/08/2013: Assailants opened fire on Saddam Tahiri in Taizz city, Taizz governorate, Yemen. Tahiri, the head of head of security at the presidential palace, was killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
