12/08/2013: Assailants opened fire on Abdullah Gaithallah in Al Bayda governorate, Yemen. Gaithallah, the deputy chief of police in Al Bayda, was killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
