Incident Summary:
12/15/2013: Assailants opened fire on Allama Nasir Abbas' vehicle in Lahore city, Punjab province, Pakistan. Abbas, a prominent Shia cleric and the leader of the banned Tehreek-e-Jaferia Pakistan (TJP) organization, was killed as a result of the attack. In a statement claiming responsibility, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) stated Allama Nasir Abbas was targeted for his alleged involvement in a November attack in Rawalpindi in which eight Sunnis were killed.

Criteria 1
