12/16/2013: A landmine detonated and assailants opened fire on soldiers in Arakan town, North Cotabato province, Philippines. Two soldiers were injured as a result of the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources speculated that the New People's Army (NPA) may have been involved.
