12/16/2013: An assailant in a vehicle threw a grenade at a group of police officers in Chegem, Kabardino-Balkaria oblast, Russia. The police officers returned fire, causing the vehicle to explode. There were no reported casualties or damages for the police; however, the assailant was killed as a result of the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
