Incident Summary:

01/17/2014: Assailants opened fire on an Express News van in the Nazimabad area of Karachi city, Sindh province, Pakistan. At least three people were killed in the attack. Ehsanullah Ehsan, a spokesperson for the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that Express News employees were attacked because the news organization was spreading "venomous propaganda" against the TTP. A member of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, who was later arrested for an unrelated incident, also claimed responsibility for the incident.
