Incident Summary:

01/24/2014: Assailants attacked Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) soldiers in Puncak Jaya area, Papua province, Indonesia. The soldiers were on their way to provide support for another unit at the time of the attack. At least one soldier was killed in the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the attack; however, police officials attributed it to the Free Papua Movement (OPM-Organisasi Papua Merdeka).
