Incident Summary:

03/14/2014: Assailants attacked the Giwa Army Barracks and a University of Maiduguri hostel in Maiduguri city, Borno state, Nigeria. At least 207 assailants and five other people, including soldiers and at least one student, were killed and an unknown number of people were wounded in the attack. An unknown number of prisoners, who were being held at the base, were freed as a result of the attack. Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the incident.
