04/02/2014: Assailants kidnapped Ebi Clark in Kiagbodo town, Burutu local government area, Delta state, Nigeria. Clark, the son of an Ijaw Youth Council national leader, was released on April 6, 2014. It is unclear if the kidnappers' demand of $308,737.50 in ransom was met. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND).
