Incident Summary:
04/12/2014: Assailants threw two grenades at the residence of Sarungbam Birendra in Nambol Bazaar Makha Leikai area, Nambol city, Manipur state, India. Birendra, the director of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), was unharmed; however, the house was damaged in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) carried out the attack.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
