05/24/2014: An explosive device detonated prematurely as assailants were planting it in North Sinai governorate, Egypt. At least one assailant was killed and another was wounded in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis (Ansar Jerusalem).
