09/07/2014: Assailants ambushed a military platoon near Baza village, Adamawa state, Nigeria. At least 24 soldiers were killed and at least two people, including the son of the former president, were injured in the attack. This was one of two related attacks in the area on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.
