Incident Summary:

09/17/2014: Assailants opened fire on Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) soldiers and Indonesian National Police (INP) officers near an airfield in Lanny Jaya district, Papua province, Indonesia. At least one assailant was killed and an unknown number of other people were injured in the assault. The Free Papua Movement (OPM-Organisasi Papua Merdeka) claimed responsibility for the attack.
