Incident Summary:

09/27/2014: Assailants launched a rocket at the United States (US) Embassy in Sanaa city, Amanat Al Asimah governorate, Yemen. At least two security guards were injured and a vehicle was damaged in the attack. Ansar al-Sharia, a sub-group of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that the attack was in retaliation for a US drone strike that killed Muslim children in Al-Jawf governorate on July 26, 2014.
