Incident Summary:

12/02/2014: Assailants attacked quarry workers near Mandera town, Mandera county, Kenya. The assailants first divided the workers into two groups of Muslims and non-Muslims and then proceeded to execute the non-Muslims; thirty-six workers were killed in the assault. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that the attack was in retaliation for Kenya's atrocities in and occupation of Muslim lands.
