Incident Summary:

01/01/2015: Assailants opened fire and used machetes to attack a police patrol providing security for a mining company in Utikini Baru village, Papua province, Indonesia. Two police officers and a civilian security guard were killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Free Papua Movement (OPM-Organisasi Papua Merdeka).
