02/16/2015: Two assailants opened fire on Govind Pandharinath Pansare in Kolhapur district, Maharashtra state, India. Pansare, a Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader and anti-toll tax campaigner, died from his injuries on February 20, 2015; his wife was also wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Sanatan Sanstha.
