Incident Summary:
04/08/2015: Assailants fired a projectile that detonated near a civilian residence in Sheikh Zuweid, North Sinai governorate, Egypt. At least two people were killed in the attack. This was one of two projectile attacks on houses in Sheikh Zuweid on the same day. Additionally, at least six people were injured across the two incidents. The Sinai Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
