Incident Summary:
08/05/2015: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near a Syrian Army checkpoint in Al-Qaryatayn town, Homs governorate, Syria. This was one of three suicide bombings targeting checkpoints in Al-Qaryatayn on the same day. At least 68 people, including 37 soldiers, five civilians, and 26 assailants were killed and an unknown number of others were injured across the three blasts and ensuing clashes. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
