Incident Summary:

08/21/2015: An assailant attempted to attack passengers on a Thalys high-speed train as it was traveling near Arras, Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, France. However, several passengers were able to subdue the assailant, who was carrying multiple firearms and a box cutter. At least two passenger, including one citizen of the United States, were injured during the scuffle. Ayoub El Qahzzani, a member of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), claimed responsibility for the incident.
