Incident Summary:

09/22/2015: Approximately 30 assailants attempted to plant explosive devices in Bungkaong village, Patikul town, Sulu Province, Philippines. The assailants sustained an unknown number of casualties after one the devices detonated prematurely and military personnel opened fire on them; the military personnel did not sustain any casualties in the clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
