Incident Summary:

12/02/2015: An explosive device detonated and assailants opened fire on Popular Resistance Committee members in Jaar town, Abyan governorate, Yemen. At least twelve people, including five assailants, were killed in the attack. Additionally, an unknown number of people were abducted and their whereabouts are unknown. This was one of two related incidents in Abyan on the same day. Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) claimed responsibility for the incidents.
