12/29/2015: Assailants opened fire on the vehicle of Omar Faruk Osman in Hodan neighborhood, Mogadishu city, Banaadir region, Somalia. Osman, the former National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) secretary-general, was not harmed; however, at least one person was injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
