Incident Summary:

01/04/2016: Assailants attacked a Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) checkpoint in Ras Lanuf town, Sirte district, Libya. There were no reported casualties in the attack; however, an oil tank was set on fire. This was one of two related attacks near oil facilities in Sirte on this day. The Tripoli Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident.
