01/07/2016: Assailants detonated explosives devices planted under a natural gas pipeline in Al-Midan village, North Sinai governorate, Egypt. There were no reported casualties. The Sinai Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the group targeted the pipeline in order to prevent gas from reaching Jordan.
