Incident Summary:

01/13/2016: Assailants opened fire on a United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) peacekeepers in Opira, North Kivu province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. This was one of two attacks targeting security forces in Opira on the same day. At least six people were killed and three others were injured across both incidents. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
