Incident Summary:
01/26/2016: An explosive device targeting a Kenyan Rapid Deployment Unit (RDU) vehicle detonated on Hindi-Kiunga road in Mangai area, Lamu town, Lamu county, Kenya. Seven police officers were killed and three others were wounded in the blast. In addition, two officers were reported missing and their whereabouts are unknown. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the explosion.
