Incident Summary:

01/28/2016: Assailants and suicide bombers driving 20 explosives-laden vehicles, including a truck with chlorine gas, attacked Tharthar region, Al Anbar, Iraq. At least 32 soldiers and 40 assailants were killed and 66 soldiers were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
