Incident Summary:

01/30/2016: Security forces identified assailants driving in a stolen police vehicle in Boni Forest along the Somali border in Garissa, Kenya. Security forces opened fire on the vehicle, killing four assailants and injuring two others. Following the incident, security forces discovered the vehicle was booby-trapped and it was defused. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Shabaab.
