02/04/2016: Philippine Marine Corps forces discovered and defused an explosive device in Lagtoh village, Talipao municipality, Patikul town, Sulu province, Philippines. This was one of two related events in Lagtoh on the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attempted attack to the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
