Incident Summary:
02/11/2016: Assailants armed with incendiary devices and firearms attacked Yeni Safak offices in Bayrampasa neighborhood, Istanbul, Turkey. There were no reported casualties in the incident. This was one of two similar attacks targeting newspaper offices in different Istanbul neighborhoods on this date. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources separately attributed the incidents to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the United Freedom Forces (BOG).

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
