Incident Summary:

02/12/2016: Two suicide bombers detonated an explosives-laden vehicle and assailants launched rockets at a United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) base in Kidal town, Kidal region, Mali. In addition to the two bombers, seven Guinean peacekeepers were killed and 29 others were wounded in the attack. Ansar al-Dine (Mali) claimed responsibility for the incident and sources also suspected that the attack may have been carried out by Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM).
