Incident Summary:

02/16/2016: Assailants opened fire on a convoy carrying Aidarus al-Zubaidi, the governor of Adan, and General Shallal Ali Shayae, the police chief of Adan, in Mansura district, Shaykh Uthman, Adan governorate, Yemen. Al-Zubaidi and Shayae were unharmed; however, four assailants were killed and four bodyguards were injured in the ensuing clash. Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) claimed responsibility for the incident.
