Incident Summary:

02/17/2016: A suicide bomber in an explosives-laden vehicle detonated targeting a military convoy in Ankara city, Ankara province, Turkey. In addition to the bomber, at least 29 people were killed and 60 people were injured in the blast. The Kurdistan Freedom Hawks claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for Turkish military operations in Cizre district. Additionally, sources also attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
