Incident Summary:

03/16/2016: An explosive device planted on a bus transporting government employees detonated along Sunehri Masjid Road in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. At least 16 people were killed and 50 others were injured in the blast. Lashkar-e-Islam (Pakistan) claimed responsibility and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for death sentences given to armed group members. Separately, Majlis-e-Lashkari also claimed responsibility and stated that the incident was carried out in revenge for recent military operations.
