Incident Summary:

03/30/2016: Police personnel attempted to stop a suicide bomber in an explosives-laden vehicle at a checkpoint in Dagestan, Russia. The vehicle detonated, killing a police officer and the assailant and wounding another officer. This was one of two coordinated attacks in Dagestan overnight. The Caucasus Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incidents.
