Incident Summary:

04/17/2016: Assailants opened fire on a United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) patrol in Rafai, Mbomou, Central African Republic. At least one peacekeeper was killed in the assault. This was one of two related attacks in Mbomou on this date; MINUSCA peacekeepers were responding to an earlier raid in Agoumar. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incidents to the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA).
