At least two soldiers were killed and eight others, including soldiers and civilians, were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Shabaab.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack. Success is not judged in terms of the larger goals of the perpetrators.
