Incident Summary:
05/01/2016: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near a government compound in Samawah, Muthanna, Iraq. This was one of two coordinated suicide attacks in the area on the same day. In addition to the assailants, at least 33 people were killed and 63 people were injured in both events. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incident.
