05/12/2016: Assailants opened fire on Real Madrid fans gathered at the Al Furat Cafe in Balad, Saladin, Iraq. At least 12 people were killed and 25 people were injured in the attack. This was one of two coordinated attacks in the district on the same day. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incidents.
