05/17/2016: A suicide bomber detonated in a market in Shaab area, Baghdad city, Baghdad governorate, Iraq. This was one of two coordinated attacks in the market within a few minutes; the assailant was targeting people that had gathered in response to an earlier explosion. In addition to the assailant, at least 11 people were killed and 37 people were injured across both events. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incidents.
