05/27/2016: An explosive device detonated and assailants opened fire on two Malian Armed Forces vehicles in Gao region, Mali. At least five soldiers were killed and four soldiers were injured in the ambush. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected the involvement of the Macina Liberation Front (FLM) in the attack.
