05/28/2016: Assailants opened fire on a police vehicle in Khwaja Pesta, Kunduz, Afghanistan. At least one police officer was killed and one officer was injured in the assault. Waheedullah, the deputy administrative officer for Kunduz, was abducted in the attack; he was rescued on June 10, 2017. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
