Incident Summary:
06/01/2016: Assailants and suicide bombers raided Kubaysah, Al Anbar, Iraq. At least four assailants were killed in the ensuing clash. This was one of three coordinated attacks in the area on the same day that also resulted in death of 130 soldiers. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
