06/07/2016: An explosive package addressed to a scientist working on genetically modified organisms (GMOs) at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) was delivered to a post office in Parma, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The device was defused and no casualties were reported. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however sources suspected the involvement of anarchists.
