06/23/2016: Assailants raided a village in Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria. This was one of five coordinated attacks on communities in the area overnight. At least 50 people were killed across all of the assaults. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attack to Ijaw militants, which the group denied.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
