06/30/2016: Assailants opened fire on Rafael Moussa in Arish, North Sinai, Egypt. Moussa, the Church of Mar Girgis priest, was killed in the assault. The Sinai Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack and stated that the victim was targeted for allegedly "combating Islam."
