Incident Summary:

07/27/2016: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near a People's Protection Units (YPG) security headquarters in Gharbi neighborhood, Qamishli, Al Hasakah, Syria. This was one of two vehicle bombings in Qamishli on the same day. In addition to the bomber, at least 52 people were killed and 170 others were injured across both blasts. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for recent military operations in Manbij.
